How can I display a jQuery Dialog from code behind (VB) in Visual Studio?

How can I display a jQuery Dialog from code behind (VB) in Visual Studio?

Is it possible to run a name jQuery function from an event in code behind? Say an on-click event or as a result of a true "IF...then..else" statement?
