How do I install JQuery Cycle

Hello... I am using the Suffusion theme for Wordpress. It tells me to install JQuery Cycle in order to put featured content into a slider. The plugin is apparently not available for push-button install from Wordpress. The plugin download on the JQuery website returns a lot of code.

I searched for install instructions on this forum and found nothing helpful, except that it appears I must insert this code into the HEAD potion of my index file with SCRIPT tags. It seems like a lot of code to go there. Is that right? Is it a simple matter of pasting the code between SCRIPT tags in the HEAD?

Is there a simple set of instructions for installing this?
