How to assign click event in <img> using JQuery

Hi to All.. I'm new in JQuery.. and I'm having a hard time with this JQuery Slider Plugin BASIC JQUERY SLIDER

My question is.. how can I assign those navigation thumbnail numbers in <img> onClick.. (see sample image below)
