How to display Local file and directorys in modal popup

Hi Team,

As per our new requirement, I have to develop customized File browse functionality. In model popup i have to show user local directory and available files (exactly windows browse popup) and available files i have to assign check box for each file and then, user select and upload one file at a time.

Please suggest if any inputs available to develop modal file upload popup.
