how to validate the div id value using JQuery bootstrapValidator??

I want to validate the stars rating value that is stored in div Id and i want to use the div ID value to validate the stars rating in botstrapValidator. As, I know the methods, how to validate the input fields but dont knw how to validate the div id value.
