IE6 and theme images

I have some divs that are both "draggable" and "resizable" using
jQuery.ui. Everything is working but on IE the resizer handle
background image is being requested ("HTTP GET") continually as the
elements are either dragged or resized. Is this unavoidable? or a bug?
