image gallary

Hi,

I have a image gallary where i use a jquery carosel to scroll through all the images. I want to put a onclick event on each of the images so that when the user clicks on the image, it then brings up the full image of that image in a placeholder i have for it. (not in a popup). how can i do this in jquery /ajax?
