In Jquery mobile i want to use image button for showing menu and menu name must come full character without dot

how to give image as abackgound of a menu
and in a page i want to show six menu 2 first below 2 and 2 total six.
also i want to show menu name on each menu at bottom. But when see in different mobile and ipad or any device dot never want to come.

main thing is responsive design.

can any one help me from this issue.
