Is it possible for Jquery to make something like this?

This is a mockup I have done for a site, took me about 24 hours to get
the layout JUST right, not to mention some other versions of it, but
would it be possible to make this in jquery? I am looking to make it
pretty much identical to this using Jquery, but I don't know too much
about javascript, so I wanted to ask if it's even possible before
dedicating a lot of time trying to learn jquery. Thanks!
