Is it possible to use 'swipe' between content only and not pages.

Is it possible to use 'swipe' between content only and not pages.

Hi, I want to use the swipe (both left and right) so the end user can swipe between content not pages.  Like a carousel effect with a slide transition.

I can get it to work with pages by navigating to the next and previous but this is not what I really want.

I want to keep the header and footer in place and navigate to display the next content - something similar to this:  http://jsfiddle.net/a4poster/m6www/4/

Any help would be really appreciated.
