Is this a plugin? And if so, where is it available?

Hello all,
I'm new here - looking for a certain plugin or simply the code necessary for building a search form like the "Suche nach freien Stellen" dropdown menu at headmatch.de (grey box on the right) Other than most search forms, it tells you how many results there are on the submit button, and I think that's awesome!

Does anyboy know if this is a plugin? Or is it difficult to code this? I do have some php experience, so I think I might figure out how to work with jQuery, too...
