JQM 1.1.1 AND IE8 Problem

I'm having a problem implementing JQM 1.1.1 in IE8...
I'm using JQM 1.1.1 AND JQ 1.7.1
This works in IE9, FF, Chrome, but in IE8 the page does not load...
Can anyone point me in the right direction ...
