[jQuery] 1.6rc4 Accordion Easing SOLUTION- with JQ 1.2.6
I couldn't get Accordion 'easeSlide' easing to work w/ JQ1.26 & latest
UI1.6:
Error: jQuery.easing[this.options.easing || (jQuery.easing.swing ?
"swing" : "linear")] is not a function
and finally found SUCCESS with the following:
-OPTION 1 -
For {animated:easeSlide} in your Accordion options- download the
v1.1.1 jq_easing_plugin. (No dimension or compatiblity plug-in
necessary) Please note that v1.1.1 is the easing version that the UI
Accordion demo page is actually using. (which is probably not a
natural assumption & a bit confusing to those having problems)
Since the original easing_plugin author may not(??) provide a link to
v 1.1.1..here is a URL I grabbed it from:
http://jquery.bassistance.de/accordion/lib/jquery.easing.js - You can
probably also grab it off the UI accordion demo page.
-OPTION 2 - (the more 'current' solution)
Grab the newest easing_plugin version1.3 + the compatibility plug-in
from
http://gsgd.co.uk/sandbox/jquery/easing/ - which really just handles
of a bunch of easing NAME changes
After linking to them from your page (obviously), use
{animated:easeInOut} in your Accordion options ..NOT 'easeSlide' .
(Interestingly..despite it being a 'compatibility' plug-in' it doesn't
equate/handle the term 'easeSlide' . Just look at the code, and you'll
see.
The above is all UNofficial..but BOTH of the above options got Easing
working in my UI-Accordion, and it's tough to argue with that.
Hopefully, this will help someone.
