[jQuery] 2c on tibco gi?
Hi All,
I'm doing some research on Tibco GI:

I'm a daily jquery user and love it, the plugins, the community support,
etc. All great, thanks everyone, woohoo! GI has been presented to me as
a possible path for an enterprise app we (my dev/consulting company)
might be working on. IMO, there are some downsides, but I have not
examined each very closely:
1. possible issues integrating 3rd party js components (like some of the
schweeeet jquery plugins)
2. proprietary framework: more difficult to find/hire developers already
up to speed
3. default component look/feel is a bit dated...and not sure how easy it
will be to reskin them
4. browser-based IDE (so not likely to have an ecosystem like Eclipse
and other IDE's)
There are definitely some upsides, but what I'm reaching out for is some
perspective from anyone that might want to offer it up.... Would going
down this path be really nice.... or are there many potential caveats,
and are the ones I listed above genuine concerns?
I'm not looking to turn this into a "political" thread about which
library/framework is best, etc, just looking for some perspective from
anyone who might have gone down the GI route or might have researched it
more than I have already and what conclusions were reached.
