Jquery ajax Spring mvc

Hello all.. I am new to both jquery and ajax... I have an existing spring mvc project with me... I need to integrate ajax and jquery in it... Do i need a spring json library for this????? What all is required in this scenario.... Any help is thanked completely in advance :)
