[jQuery] Apple Mac Dashboard widget and jQuery integration
Hi All,
I've just become the proud owner of a Mac and have just started
playing with Dashboard widgets.
What I am wondering is if it is possible to use jQuery within a
widget?
To be honest I haven't really tried to do anything really useful just
yet - apart from communicate with a PHP file via Apache, but I would
really like to use the $.get() and XML handling stuff from jQuery
instead of having to 'roll-my-own' just to achieve the same effects.
I have tried searching both here and via Google for 'jquery dashboard
mac', etc. But there are many references to 'dashboard' like web pages
and jq, but nothing about the OS level dashboard and jq (at least not
that I can see!)
I would prefer to have a central resource of tools (like jquery, etc)
that widgets use, but it is not vital (though I'm sure you can see the
advantage it would provide!!).
Please can anyone comment on if this is possible, or if they have got
an example of the setup required (noob on Mac!), or any further help
would be nice.
