As I noticed earlier this evening when switching output of a project from text/html toapplication/xhtml+xml jQuery stops working. After testing on a number of different browsers I noticed the following error:

TypeError: Result of expression ‘div.style’ [null] is not an object (Line 825 in the development version of jQuery 1.4.1)
