Jquery Autocomplete doesn't work with Jquery 1.5

Hello!
I'm using the Jquery Autocomplete Plugin with jquery.1.4.4.
I tried to use a new version of jquery, like 1.5.1 but doesn't work.

I'm asking if there is a way to work with the new version of jquery or i must change my autocomplete and use the jquery ui autocomplete.
