Oh ok. You are absolutely correct.
It may be worth notifying the project manager that #anchors cannot be used.. I just hate doing the. :P
As to the work-around. Thank you for the info. I am always hoping to get to use jquery but rarely get a chance.
I see it would be a simple Javascript function to move to one of my ID's?

It sounds to me like the correct answer would be to contact your CMS
provider about the crashing, as this seems like a reasonable feature to
want.
As to a javascript intervention in the mean time, you could probably
modify window.location to move you to the anchor you want based on the
query string parameter. Someone else might have a simpler/cleaner
method, but either way I don't think you'll be using jquery for this.
