[jQuery] capture value from 'alert()', pass to url and update select
hi,
I'm looking to add some simple ajax functionality to an interface I'm
working on but need a little guidance first.
I have a select tag in my form which lists the available categories.
In the label I have a link that says 'add a new category'. What I'm
after is the link to trigger a JS alert box or even better Thickbox to
show a form field which I can fill in and submit to a url. On success
the contents of the select tag will have the new item appended to it.
I'm really new to jQuery, so any links to relevant tutorials or code
pastes really welcome.
