jQuery Cycle Works Great!! But I have one question...
Mr. Malsap, Thank you for a wonderful jQuery Plugin. I have been developing a WordPress Plugin using your Plugin and it works great. Today I put the WordPress Plugin online for the first time on a test website (I have been developing it locally on a MacBook Pro) so that I could test it with a very old IE and a new Mozilla Firefox and they both worked OK. The only problem I noticed is that under the old IE the images load slowly (I think I have a way to fix it, by converting the large images into smaller thumbnails before putting them into Cycle? I think that is the right approach but I would value your opinion). I have also incorporated HighSlide.js into the system and if you click on a Cycle Image it brings up a HighSlide Slideshow). Anyway, my question is, one of the ways the users of it can load their images into the Cycle is from a Picasa Library, see the "Picasa Camel" example, and I noticed that some of the Public Picasa Libraries are very large. One I loaded to test with had 342 images. I use your methods to create pager buttons (both numbered and thumbnails) on the bottom of the slider but I need to provide a simpler method to walk through a large number of slides. I can not use 342 buttons, for example, so I need a way to let the user specify just a "Previous Next" type control on the bottom of the slider. Can you tell me the best way to do this? You can see the Cycle Slider with three examples at this address:
