[jQuery] Examples of Plug-in for scripted tutorial in application?
I know I have seen something like this before but I just cannot for the life
of me remember what sites I may have seen it on.
What I am looking for is a real-world example of any PLUG-IN/SITES that
uses Jquery (or any javascript framework) to show a scripted tutorial on-top
of a working application. I've found countless examples of scripted
animation (which I am sure is the foundation of this idea) but cannot find
any good examples of this idea.
An example would a new application - when I log in for the first time I
might get a series of popups that walk me through features but can be
"closed" at any point if I decide that I want to try out the application on
my own. They may animate to different areas, be draggable, or highlight
certain things but underneath is the application in it's workable form.
I've seen this type of use in games I've played (tribalwars.net and
the-west.net, although you would have to create an account to see what I am
referring to) where pop-up's are used in a tutorialized way... but really
looking for a more Corporate application that utilized this type of
"Walk-thru". The nicer the better.
I am trying to convince my boss this is a better way to approach a problem
than Flash but can't seem to find any really good real world examples.
