jQuery fade and redirect vs. normal link

jQuery fade and redirect vs. normal link

I'm revamping my photo site and want to have nice fade transitions from page to page by fading out a couple divs, then doing a redirect and having that next page fade in the divs.  this is what I used:

function transitionLink (url) {

        $("#galleryDescription").fadeOut(600);
        $("#bottomContainer").fadeOut(600);
        $("#imageContainer").fadeOut(600,function(){

          window.location = url;
     });
}

you can see it here www.julianwalter.com/newsite

if you click the top four gallery links, they have the fade transition applied to them (without the fade in for now) and the rest are regular links.

does anybody know if, for search engine internal link purposes, I should stay away from doing this?  I'm guessing if I submit a sitemap to the Google Webmaster Tools they will still crawl the gallery pages.

is there any other reason I should stay away from this?  thanks so much for any help!  first time posting but I've already learned so much from these forums (and the site)  :)
