[jQuery] Future of jQuery

[jQuery] Future of jQuery

I just ran across jQuery a little while ago and have been lurking on this list.
jQuery is a very very nice piece of work. Very concise, very powerful.
But, at the end of the day, it doesn't really *do* anything. It just provides
the tools to access DOM nodes and do some basic effects with them like set
styles, slide up/down effects, that's about it. Everything else is left to the
developer to actually build something useful using jQuery.
Looking at some of the more full-featured libraries out there
http://edevil.wordpress.com/2005/11/14/javascript-libraries-roundup/
Does jQuery plan to "compete" with them? Or does it plan to complement them?
In other words, do you plan to add features to
a. create widgets (form items, DOM nodes, any content really)
b. popup DHTML windows with content,
c. tabbed panes,
d. drag and drop,
e. modal DHTML dialog
Can't think of anything else, but just look at
http://qooxdoo.oss.schlund.de/public/demo/
I would love to combine that with jQuery's sweet notation, get the best of both
worlds.
Comments? Thanks.
Regards
