[jQuery] Help in Autocomplete

I am using firebug to debug my js and i am getting the following
error.
value.replace is not a function
http://localhost/rentalphase2/jquery.autocomplete.js

Firebug is showing my return from the script as
letssene
letssen
letssenee
letsseneee
letsseneeee
Adding New Customers
which implies a \n between the two. So can you tell me what i am doing
wrong
