[jQuery] imagefit plugin - rescaling images - help needed

This plugin is fantastic and it works well in all A-grade browsers but ideally I would like to get it to work in IE7.
As you can see from this test case:

Unfortunately my knowledge of Javascript is at the novice stage so I'm lost as to how I can fix it.
Can anyone have an attempt at solving this or suggest an alternative plugin I may have missed?
