[jQuery] javascript confirm with jquery ????

I have a peace of code that used to display a confirmation alert box which does now nothing after
including the jquery libary to the page (tested on opera 9 and firefox <a href="http://1.5.0.4">1.5.0.4</a>).
Is the default javascrip confirm overload somthing that has been wanted or is it a side-effect ?
I the case this overload has been designed, can anyone please explain how I could make it work ??
