[jQuery] Jquery GZIP?

Is it ok to GZIP jquery? The savings seem better than any obfuscator/packer
I've seen..
I've heard that there may be some issues with IE, but does anyone have a
test URL anywhere for that, or a list of findings. I can't seem to find
anything solid on this subject.
