[jQuery] jQuery security question
This may be a little off topic, or it might not be, becuase I'm not
sure if this should be done through PHP or Javascript, or what. So
please don't kill me if this isn't the right place to post this...
Anyway, I wanna create a site that performs an algorithm on user
inputed data. But I want the code to be completely unaccessable to
any user. Basically the code will have value, and I don't want
anybody to be able to steal it. So I need to create a page that will
take the data and send it to the server, some code on the server, and
some code on the page that recieves the data after its crunched by the
algorithm and prints it out on the page. The part I'm most confused
about is the code on the server. What language should I use to do
this, and how can I insure that no one will be able to download it,
that it stays hidden? Do I need to have my own server to do this, or
can I just use a hosting service? Do I need to worry about encoding
the data as it gets passed back and fourth? I'm not sure about all
this, but I know hackers are some clever people.
I know this isn't strictly a jQuery question, but since I'll be using
jQuery to get the data from the user and to post the results to the
page, I hope I'm not out of line for asking this here.
