JQuery-Mobile Backbutton

Today, I took a look at jquery mobile on my Palm Pre Plus. Besides being really slow and choppy (Loading animations are broken, page transitions are choppy; but I guess this is because of the alpha-status), I wonder about the following:

Because of the iPhone-like UI and jquery mobile running in the browser, I have now three possibilites to go one page back:
  1. Using the "back" button that jquery-mobile offers me
  2. Using the "back" button that the browser offers me
  3. Using the "back" gesture of webOS
That leads to my big question: Will jquery mobile regard specialities of certain mobile devices (like the aforementioned gestures of webOS and consequently hiding it's own back-button) or will the UI be exactly the same on every device?
