jQuery Mobile Panel Wont Close?

jQuery Mobile Panel Wont Close?

My jQuery will not close my side panel, even with the data-rel="close", and add in an href="#mainpage". The button changes colors, but just doesn't close. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using the Intel XDK running Cordova with the jQuery framework.
