JQuery Mobile: Scroll effect transition to same page anchors

Slight novice here, so please bear with me!

I am using this technique to link to anchors within the same JQuery Mobile page:
http://dev4theweb.blogspot.ie/2012/07/anchor-links-and-jquery-mobile.html
and it works.

What I cannot get working are any of the solutions out there for smooth scrolling to these anchor tags. Has anybody figured this out?
