this type of functionality. Flash can talk to JavaScript and vice versa quite
well nowadays, so getting a flash object (such as a compass) to follow your
mouse via JS updating the flash object isn’t hard, but… why? This
is something that’s really bothering me about this latest ‘web 2.0’
craze. Why recreate the wheel and try to use JavaScript to do something Flash
does better then anyone else could dream of? Basic animations like JQuery provides
makes sense… but things like that Dojo clock? Screw that, I’ll
write a few lines of ActionScript and embed a plugin. Then I’ll walk
down to the bar and buy myself a drink to kill all the time I just saved by not
bashing my head against a wall trying to do something JS just wasn’t
meant to do.<o:p></o:p></span></font>
