[jQuery] Probation period for posting?
Please forgive me if this irritates anyone or seems snippy, but I just
had a question:
I've been posting to this group for about 2-3 months now, and have
about a dozen or so posts. When I started posting here, the page I
followed said that for a short time posts you make will not appear
until they are approved. The reason behind this is to stop spam.
I understand that, and have no problems with proving that I'm a human
and have no intentions of spamming. However, I'd like to know how
long this probationary period is. I find it rather frustrating when I
am trying to receive / give help and my posts don't go through for a
few hours. Particularly when I see a spam message get through. I've
only seen about three get through since I started reading and posting
here, and I understand that not everything can be blocked, but it
still grates on your nerves/patience to see this.
Other than this issue I've generally found this group to be very
helpful, and I hope to continue being a member and giving and
receiving help. I hated javascript and did everything I could to not
have to touch the stuff. jQuery's changed that -- I find javascript
tolerable now.
