[jQuery] remove() Method Causes Flicker in Firefox


Go here:

Click on one of the rows in the table and you'll see the image fade
out and then flicker.
var livePhoto = $('img#eventImage');
livePhoto.fadeOut('fast');
livePhoto.remove();
Not sure what is causing this but I use
setTimeout( livePhoto.remove(), 50 but it did not work.
Suggestions?
