[jQuery] removing focus from field

[jQuery] removing focus from field


Hi all,
I'm submitting a form when the value of a drop-down menu changes.
After that I would like to remove the focus from the field itself. I
have tried different things: blur, focus=remove and so on but no one
works.
How can I remove the focus for a field?
