[jQuery] safari, jQuery and a confused newbie
<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; ">Hi,<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>What am I doing wrong?</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Intention: Show a form</DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </SPAN>Click the submit button, create a record in a database with the posted data, return the data to the same div.</DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </SPAN>Click the edit button… the data is updated and returned to the same div.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I have two problems....</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>1)</DIV><DIV>If I just rewrite (replace) the form (which is built by the called page), the edit button doesn't work.</DIV><DIV>If I rewrite the form with the jQuery calls included it works as intended using FF (Mac & Win) and IE7. </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </SPAN>is this the "correct" way of doing it?</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>2) </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Even if I rewrite the form with the jQuery calls included, safari reloads the first page, and never "edits".</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, and seem to be going around in circles.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>The pages can be found here <<A href="http://sandbox.customikesolutions.com/regForm.php">
