JQuery security

Hello,
I have just started using JQuery, I found that it is basically a Client side JavaScript , accessible from any webpage and can be tampered using intercepting proxy (like burp proxy). I want to know, if there are any details of security implementation on JQuery (Server Side validation). If SSL can stop tampering and manipulation.
