[jQuery] Simile Timeline in JQuery?


Has any one done something like Simile's Timeline using jquery?
(http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/)
It is very nice as it is, I can't help but wonder if it couldn't be
slimplified using jquery. I'm sure gurus here could extend timeline in
interesting ways.
