[jQuery] slideDown, slideUp: Bugs

[jQuery] slideDown, slideUp: Bugs

I have a page that has an object that I slideDown and Up. Underneath
is is content that obviously is "pushed" down and up along with that
object. When some of the content underneath the sliding object has
any of the following properties:
overflow: hidden;
position: relative;
they will not be pushed along with the rest of the content and will
instead stay in the same place while everything else is moved around
them. This causes the rest of the page to look horrible when I
slideDown the object.
Another bug is borders. If an object has a css border on it, it will
not slideDown.
I know the jQuery fx code is based on moo.fx, which also has this
problem, but after weeks of awaiting replies on how to fix this with
no response I have given up on asking them. Anyone have ideas on how
to fix these bugs? Thank you.
