[jQuery] SOT: AIR / jQuery help
I'm working with the built in AIR Updater class and I've got two things
happening that I need to fix.
1) My app alerts the user to check for updates each time the app loads,
rather than only when there IS an actual update. This is the same thing that
happened to the jQuery API app written by Remy. Remy? Care to share how you
resolved that issue? The Adobe docs are worthless on this subject.
2) I've got an actual update ready to deploy. When I fire up the app, it
tells me that my local version is 0.4.4, the remote version is 0.5.1 and
asks me if I'd like to update. I click "download now", and it begins
download, showing the progress bar and everything. The bad thing is that it
then errors with "There was an error downloading the update. Error# 16824".
Doing some research on this error it most commonly occurs when the app.xml
version is different from the update descriptor XML file hosted on the
server. Problem is that the versions are identical. I even copied and pasted
them.
Can anyone help out?
