[jQuery] Submitting a Patch

[jQuery] Submitting a Patch


Hi,
I was wondering what the process is for patching a bug in jQuery. My
guess is to 1) Add a ticket in trac, 2) Come up with a test that shows
its broken, 3) Find a fix 4) Submit a patch. I'm not really clear on
steps 2 and 4. As far as making a test, should I just come up with
the code for one, or actually make a patch for the test file under
svn?
This will be my first open source contribution, so I'm not familiar
with how patch submission works, and how the jQuery project in
particular does it.
