<DIV></DIV>Gilles,<BR><BR>I am speaking here as a non-javascripter and an
administrator on a number of portals/forums, who wants to use the
functionality of jquery to design sites, and I would have to disagree with
the idea of a forum. <BR><BR>My reasons are that <BR><BR>the only people
who could answer the majority of questions about jquery, would be the "devs",
and as a consequence you would be spending a large part of every day answering
questions, instead of getting on with the "main job" of building a rocksolid
js library, <BR><BR>you would get questions from people too lazy to search for
answers for themselves, (the answers are out there)<BR><BR>you would start to
get requests from people, along the lines of "could somebody do this/that or
the other for me"........ <BR><BR>trust me.....if something is opensource and
for free, people are more inclined to demand answers than if they are paying
for it. <BR><BR>Because the library is free they think that all support is
free....<BR><BR>I have been on the mailing list for couple of months now,
reading and digesting what has been going on, all the plug ins being
developed, and have found that the best way to learn, is to actually try and
do something by yourself and keep trying until you succeed, there are hundreds
of examples to view. <BR><BR>Just my 2 cents, but I think a forum would not be
a good idea, <BR>keep the mailing list as is, <BR>and only answer
questions relating to the technical aspects of jquery<BR><BR>
