Jquery UI Portlets

Hello,
I saw a demo in the trunk of Jquery UI Sortables Portlets (http://
jquery-ui.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/demos/sortable/portlets.html). When
I drag a box to another column, if there are no more boxes in that
column, the column disappears. Is there a way of having empty columns?
