[jQuery] Unexpected $.fn.text results

[jQuery] Unexpected $.fn.text results

Hello there.
I am trying to get the combined text of an element, and was under the
impression $.fn.text descends down the child nodes concatenating all of
the text values.
/src/latest/ seems to be returning strange results. I have set up a
test case at http://tinyurl.com/r9v6s.
Am I misunderstanding something about this function?
