[jQuery] Vertical Accordion Navigation Bar!

Has anybody done something like the vertical navigation bar to be seen
on
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/css-animation-technique ?
You elegantly widen the middle column by pushing back the left side
column.
Great effect. Any suggestions? Thanks!
