<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Have been trying to figure this one out for
a while and I think I have pinpointed the problem. I have a JSP page that
generates an awful lot of whitespaces when being generated and when I started
using jQuery’s ajax methods to load it the whole page just hangs. The
problem seems to be this piece of code in jQuery witch removes whitespace (as
far as I know at least)<o:p></o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>                trim:
function( text ) {<o:p></o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>                               return
(text || "").replace( /^\s+|\s+$/g, "" );<o:p></o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>                },<o:p></o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>It is called from the clean: function.<o:p></o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Loading the page with “manual”
ajax methods without whitespace removal works fine but when I’m trying to
load it using jQuery it will not load. Is there a way to override this function
or to bypass it in some way when making a ajax call?<o:p></o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Hope this is the right group to post in.<o:p></o:p></span>
