jQuery Wiki and Bug Tracking
Hi Everyone,
It's taken me much longer that I originally expected, but I think I've
finally got the transition to Trac under control. You can find the
'brand new' jQuery here:
NOTE: NOT THE FINAL URL - DO NOT SHARE!
http://proj.jquery.com/
This should represent a complete mirror of the old jQuery site, so if
you see any broken URLs (that worked on the current site), please let
me know. Right now it's just at a temporary subdomain, once we've
figured everything out, it'll move to jquery.com proper.
There's been a lot of changes, but most importantly, the changes have
centered around the new WIki and Bug Tracking systems. This means that
everyone should start doing any/all of the following:
* Submitting every single bug/feature request that you can think of.
New Bug: http://proj.jquery.com/dev/bugs/new/
Bug List: http://proj.jquery.com/dev/bugs/
* Submitting every Demo, Tutorial, or Plugin that you've written
using jQuery, to these pages:
Demos: http://proj.jquery.com/demos/
Tutorials: http://proj.jquery.com/tutorials/
Plugins: http://proj.jquery.com/plugins/
Be sure to let me know if you spot any 404s and if you see anything
that needs fixing in the Wiki, feel free to edit away. If you'd like
to upload files to the site and/or get a subversion account, let me
know and I can hook you up.
If it isn't apparent yet, this is all leading up to the release of
jQuery 1.0 in about three weeks (at the end of this month). Once the
bug reports start coming in, I'm going to actively try and fix as many
as I can. The goal is to have a stable, reliable, version of jQuery
that people can always refer to. This will give us (the developers)
the liberty to try some new things without fear of messing up
everyone's experience.
That's all for now, be sure to let me know if you have any questions.
