Listview widget - Collapsible dividers

How can I make the dividers on a listview widget collapsible? I see lots of hacks like http://jqmtricks.wordpress.com/2014/05/02/make-listview-dividers-collapsible/ Is that the best way? Is there a more "out of the box" way to do this with markup and JQM features?
