live and dom traversal functions

Hi all,

In the documentation it is written
"DOM traversal methods are not fully supported for finding elements to send to .live(). Rather, the .live() method should always be called directly after a selector, as in the example above."
Are there any dom traversal methods which are supported with live. If yes then which ?

Is there a difference between 1.32 and 1.4 ?
